I'm going to get on a train in a bit more than two hours.. and as usual, I'm not thrilled ^^' Probably it's because of the crowd (Since there will always be people who wants to go to Venice, at any hour, from any place, and especially this time of the year, when the air is warm and birds sing).. and the length of time I'll have to stay on that damned train -.-

BUT, I'm happy because courses begin again ^^ I was tired to be at home with nothing to do (nothing useful, anyway) and since I made up with my dad and started again to pass the night at his house, everything is smooth and settled once again. AND, it's almost summer -- this means I get to wear t-shirts, and skirts, and sabot, and leave behind jackets and similar things..

Venice, here I come!

Right now I'm seriously pissed off with livejournal. I mean, what the hell?! Putting aside the fact that I can get on anyone's livejournal without a problem (communities included) except indecenttears (And it IS absurd!), I was writing a review of an awesome movie and blissfully eating yoghurt with nesquik before this sh*t closed off without notice of any sort.. I'll try to rewrite it, でも。。。Grrrr!!!!

End of BIG BIG rant.

Well, yesterday night I had the chance to watch my first movie directed by Takeshi Kitano, and I was lucky it wasn't a gangsters' movie because I would have given up Kikujirō (菊次郎の夏, Kikujirō no Natsu). It narrates the ups and downs of the relationship between a child who is searching for his mother, Masao, and Kikujirō, a small-time thief and gambler, through an improvised summer journey. Interactions between the two protagonists gradually grow, becoming from strained to comfortable and familiar. Kikujirō's attitude softens as he gets fond of his small fellow traveller, to the point where he does everything in his power not to crush Masao's hopes to find his mother. I found the movie impressive in terms of sweetness ^^ And although it was a bit slow (few times and far in between), I was moved by the diffuse feeling of tenderness that the movie strongly projected. Landscapes had a similar light to the suffuse afterglow of dawn, but sometimes they were so clear and the outlines so defined that I felt as if I could smell the marine salt of the air and the crispness typical of early mornings. I appreciated the simple gestures, and the solitary walks, the caring strangers and Kitano's acting.. and the child was so kawaii and innocent and pure ^^ This is a movie I recommend to everyone, especially to people who had doubts about watching it. You'll be fascinated, I swear :D
